One step closer to $150,000 goal!
It was a night filled with excitement, energy, and competition as more than 50 Cydcor team members, families, and friends participated in a “Casino Night” to raise money for Operation Smile. During the event, they enjoyed a poker and blackjack tournament, costume contest, and raffle prizes.
Cydcor team members have been raising funds for Operation Smile over the past several months with an overall goal of raising $150,000 to fund a medical mission to remote locations in Peru, Cambodia, or Rwanda. Operation Smile is a children’s charity that provides free cleft lip and cleft palate reconstructive surgeries worldwide.
Special thanks to the vendors and organizations that donated products and services to the raffle winners! They included:
It was a winning night for Operation Smile, Cydcor, and all the attendees.

The combined efforts of Cydcor along with our network of independent sales companies continue to make progress toward achieving our total fundraising goal for Operation Smile. With just a little over $30,000 left to raise, we’re on track to reach our $150,000 target.
Cydcor team members have led the charge, raising significant funds for this worthy medical mission through successful, high-energy charity events. Their passionate commitment shows no signs of slowing down and is ramping up for the upcoming casino night in May.
Thanks to all the participating independent sales company owners, Cydcor team members, the community and other supporters who are helping make this possible!

We kicked off our Cydcor Cares program at the Boys and Girls Club in Thousand Oaks, California this month. The event was designed to help kids become more interested in reading. Cydcor office team members dressed up as their favorite fictional characters and read to children in kindergarten through fourth grade.
The Bookaneer, a local used bookstore in Thousand Oaks, donated dozens of children’s fiction titles to help support the event. Owner, Tracy Benedict, was thrilled with the results and thanked Cydcor for making it a priority to give back to their local community and for providing such a great program for children to participate in.

We’re expanding our community outreach efforts through a new program called “Cydcor Cares”. Through this program our team members will volunteer and donate time to local organizations, such as food kitchens, literacy programs at public libraries, and “adopt” elementary schools, providing services such as tutoring, reading, music, and drama/coaching. Cydcor’s team members can also volunteer their expertise to business building programs in the community, such as interviewing, resume building, and career coaching.
We think it’s because of programs like this that Cydcor was named one of the Best Places to Work in the San Fernando Valley Business Journal both in 2008 and 2009.

Cydcor, the leading provider of face-to-face sales teams, has announced that the company is expanding its community outreach efforts through a new program called "Cydcor Cares," which puts both local and remote team members in direct contact with low to no cost charitable opportunities that they can do individually or as a group on a quarterly basis.
Cydcor Cares will create opportunities for team members to volunteer and donate time to local organizations, such as food kitchens, literacy programs at public libraries, and to "adopt" an elementary school, providing services such as tutoring, reading, music, and drama/coaching. Cydcor's team members can also volunteer their expertise to business building programs in the community, such as interviewing, resume building, and career coaching.
As a result of Cydcor's commitment to team members and community outreach program, the company was named one of the Best Places to Work in the San Fernando Valley Business Journal in 2008 and 2009. Additionally, in the recent past, Cydcor team members:
"At Cydcor, community involvement is paramount, which is why we provide every team member with a 'Volunteer Day,' of eight paid hours they can use at any time in the year" said Chief Executive Officer Gary Polson. "Our Cydcor Cares program will enable them to take advantage of additional opportunities and resources to use those volunteer hours."
In addition to individual team member contributions year-round, Cydcor Cares will have one, pre-chosen philanthropic activity per year that will be sponsored by Cydcor, enabling team members to come together and work as a group to complete the effort.
Cydcor Cares was developed on the heels of other Cydcor philanthropic programs, including the Neighborhood Leader program and the company-sponsored Volunteer Day benefit. Neighborhood Leader provides Cydcor's independently licensed offices with the opportunity to provide their time and talent to non-profit, community, or charitable organizations of their choice, with Cydcor matching their individual donations.
"It's important to all of us to live up to our behaviors we value by collaborating to give back to the community," Polson said. "Not only do we strive to be an example to the field, but we strongly encourage unity and volunteerism. We give our all to our business, and we're doing the same for the community."
Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, has introduced Cydcor Cares – Volunteer Day, a new internal program to encourage team members to get more involved in their local communities.
The company’s new Cydcor Cares Volunteer Day benefit provides eight hours paid time off annually to its team members, giving them the opportunity to donate their time and talents to non-profit, community or charitable organizations of their choice.
“Cydcor is dedicated to giving back and getting involved with charitable causes – it is food for our company’s soul,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer for Cydcor. “The success of our company can be measured, in part, by looking at how we can contribute to the well-being of the community, and we want to encourage our team members to get involved in causes they are passionate about.”
Volunteer Day extends Cydcor’s culture of community involvement. Since 2007, Cydcor has maintained a relationship with Casa Pacifica, a residential treatment facility in Camarillo for abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed children. Employees have helped organize its community donations, and Cydcor recently donated $2,500 to support the Casa Pacifica’s programs.
