Cydcor Gives Back to San Diego Community

May 8, 2008

0 min read

More than 70 employees from Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, and their network of independent corporate licensee (ICL) offices rolled up their sleeves on April 26, 2008, as they participated in a Build-A-Bike team-building event to provide bikes for kids at Casa Familiar, a community-based organization in San Diego that serves as a resource for border community clients in areas of human services, community development and education.

The teambuilding day was part of a Cydcor-sponsored Promoting Owners Retreat event for top owners in the network of sales offices that Cydcor supports. Event attendees volunteered their free time to help Casa Familiar and make a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

“Cydcor is proud to have sponsored this team-building day as part of a larger event. Helping those who are less fortunate not only feels good, it’s the right thing to do,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer for Cydcor. “Just like the enthusiasm our nationwide sales force brings to our client for outsourced sales, the top sales office owners were excited to volunteer as we all realize the benefits of giving back to communities and making a positive difference.”

This is the first year that Cydcor included a philanthropic activity as part of the Promoting Owners Retreat, and it was a big success. Eight teams competed to win parts for the two bicycles they were responsible for building, which created healthy competition and fun. At the end of the build, the Casa Familiar recipients of the bikes came to the park to receive their gifts. This came as a surprise to the bike-builders and was a very emotional moment.

“Many of these children have never had bikes before and so this truly was one of the highlights of their life,” said Andrea Skorepa, President & CEO for Casa Familiar. “Having the support of businesses like Cydcor is invaluable for us to further our mission and develop brighter futures for children of this community.”

Cydcor Promotes Vera Quinn to SVP of Operations

Apr 30, 2008

0 min read

Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, announced the promotion of Vera Quinn to senior vice president of operations.

In this expanded role, Quinn leads the newly established campaign management and field solutions teams. These departments determine what tools, technology, systems and processes are needed to run more efficient and profitable sales campaigns for Cydcor, its network of independent sales offices and its clients. In addition, Quinn directs the company’s data management, quality assurance and vendor management departments.

While overseeing daily operations at Cydcor’s North American Headquarters, Quinn also works closely with Cydcor’s nearly 200 independent sales offices, senior field leadership and business development teams, as well as the company’s Fortune 500 client roster.

“Vera has made the most significant individual contribution to Cydcor,” CEO Gary Polson said. “Her passion for the field, commitment to our clients and dedication to our people and business is a driving force behind Cydcor’s overall success and positions us well for the future.”

“I take great pride in the role Cydcor plays helping our clients and sales offices reach their business goals,” said Quinn. “Ultimately, we will achieve great results for both through a spirit of partnership and added value.”

Beginning her career more than a decade ago at Cydcor’s former headquarters in Toronto, Canada, Quinn knows the business inside and out. She developed a passion for direct sales early on – successfully building door-to-door, commission-based sales teams for a variety of client campaigns, in nearly 25 independent sales offices. Using her operational expertise, Quinn then ran her own bookkeeping and consulting business, serving the needs of 15 offices in Cydcor’s network of small businesses. In 2000, she took her extensive field knowledge to Cydcor’s corporate office in California where she helped the company grow by 300%. She was named vice president of operations for Cydcor in 2005, and senior vice president in 2008.

Quinn’s accomplishments include evolving Cydcor’s operational processes from manual to automated, establishing a team of campaign experts to assist Cydcor clients and independent offices, leading the development of operational systems and technologies to make Cydcor more efficient and playing a vital role in the ongoing expansion of Cydcor’s face-to-face sales business.

Cydcor Launches Volunteer Day

Apr 24, 2008

Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, has introduced Cydcor Cares – Volunteer Day, a new internal program to encourage team members to get more involved in their local communities.

The company’s new Cydcor Cares Volunteer Day benefit provides eight hours paid time off annually to its team members, giving them the opportunity to donate their time and talents to non-profit, community or charitable organizations of their choice.

“Cydcor is dedicated to giving back and getting involved with charitable causes – it is food for our company’s soul,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer for Cydcor. “The success of our company can be measured, in part, by looking at how we can contribute to the well-being of the community, and we want to encourage our team members to get involved in causes they are passionate about.”

Volunteer Day extends Cydcor’s culture of community involvement. Since 2007, Cydcor has maintained a relationship with Casa Pacifica, a residential treatment facility in Camarillo for abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed children. Employees have helped organize its community donations, and Cydcor recently donated $2,500 to support the Casa Pacifica’s programs.

Cydcor Gives Back to Southern California Community

Mar 20, 2008

More than 80 employees from Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, will roll up their sleeves on April 11 as they volunteer their Friday afternoon to unload and organize community donations for kids at Casa Pacifica, a residential treatment facility in Camarillo for abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed children. Employees will also have the opportunity to tour Casa Pacifica’s facilities and learn more about their programs and services.

Friday will mark the fourth time in the past year that Cydcor employees have volunteered their own time to help Casa Pacifica and make a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged children, teens and families.

“Cydcor is proud to have developed a relationship with Casa Pacifica. Helping out those who are less fortunate not only feels good, it’s the right thing to do,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer for Cydcor. “Just like the enthusiasm our nationwide sales force brings to our client for outsourced sales, our staff is energized to volunteer as we all realize the benefits of giving back to our own community.”

Cydcor began its partnership with Casa Pacifica in 2007, when a team of 60 employees worked in their new warehouse to unload unloading storage units filled with community donations and organizing items based on age and gender. In December, Cydcor held a toy drive and delivered a mini-van full of toys to Casa Pacifica, helping to brighten the holiday season for more than 360 children and their families. Earlier this year, Cydcor employees donated their time to unload donations and organize clothing by size in order to help staff locate appropriate items for children more quickly. As part of Cydcor’s initiative to give back to the community, Cydcor also presented a $2,500 check to the non-profit organization.

“Cydcor has been committed to helping our organization in whatever way they can,” said Vicki Murphy, director of development and operations for Casa Pacifica. “Having the support of businesses like Cydcor is invaluable for us to further our mission and develop brighter futures for children of this community.”

Cydcor Ranked No. 1 in Outsourcing Survey

Jan 21, 2008

Cydcor, the leader in outsourced face-to-face sales, announced today that the company earned top marks earlier this year from The Black Book of Outsourcing, which conducts an annual ranking of outsourcing providers in its Black Book Outsourced Sales Services Survey. The Black Book Survey, produced by the Brown-Wilson Group, Inc., ranked 56 providers of outsourced sales processes and services.

Cydcor ranked No. 1 in the categories of client trust, vendor preference, and operational value-add. Cydcor was ranked No. 2 overall in its end-to-end sales outsourcing vendor assessment. The company missed a tie for the No. 1 position by .01, according to the survey.

“Cydcor’s No. 1 rating for vendor preference indicates our clients are so satisfied with our performance that Cydcor is the company most likely to be recommended by its clients to other organizations,” said Cydcor CEO Gary Polson. “This is the highest compliment we could receive.”

Cydcor focuses on developing custom solutions for its clients, including rapid market entry, product speed to market, customized training, post sale quality assurance and sales preservation programs.

“Cydcor’s reputation in the industry is of utmost importance to us,” stated Polson. “It is gratifying to know our operational prowess, commitment to our clients and ability to help them achieve their business goals set us apart from others in the outsourced sales industry.”

Cydcor Achieves Record Results

Jan 4, 2008

Cydcor Inc. announced today that the company set new milestones for success in 2007 with record sales growth, expansion of its independent network to more than 200 sales offices, as well as the largest sales force and highest client retention in the company’s history.

Cydcor’s growth was energized in 2007 through investments in the company by Golden Gate Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm; JP Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm; Gary Polson, the company’s chief executive officer and Jim Majeski, Cydcor president. “This has been a rewarding year for Cydcor due to the growing needs of the Fortune 500 companies that have come to rely upon us to extend their sales outreach and business performance,” Polson said.

“With the expansion of the Cydcor network of independent offices and the skill and follow-through of more than 2,700 sales representatives, we expect our momentum and differentiated programs will extend our direct sales leadership into 2008.”

With more than 200 independent sales offices in 36 states and Canadian provinces, Cydcor has expanded market coverage by more than 12 percent annually in the past four years. That growth, and the millions of face-to-face sales calls sales representatives make each year, factored into Cydcor’s best-year ever in terms of sales generated for its clients, which include AT&T, Verizon, Quill, Intuit and more.

“We are business partners with our clients and we earn their trust each day by being ambassadors for their brands,” Polson said. “Cydcor values its longstanding client relationships and boasted record retention of our existing clients in 2007.”

Cydcor Evolves Operations to Support Outsourced Sales Force for Clients

Oct 26, 2005

0 min read

Cydcor, the leading outsourced sales company in the business to business market, attributes its continued success to the same reasons Cydcor’s clients seek its services – quality, efficiency, speed, and securing a leadership position in the marketplace.

Cydcor’s ability to evolve at a pace to keep its clients competitive in the marketplace came with Cydcor’s capacity to streamline and improve its own operations. “Over the years, the nature of our business and the business of our clients has become more competitive and more complex,” stated Gary Polson, Cydcor CEO. “It is vital for us to ensure Cydcor is a nimble and proficient company so we can support our clients more quickly and cost-effectively than they can support themselves.”

“It’s hard to imagine how sophisticated we’ve become in such a short period of time,” states Vera Uzelac, Cydcor Vice President of Operations. “We have re-engineered a manual paper-intensive system of processing sales that used to take hours… and sometimes even days, to an automated, data-driven system that can process sales in minutes with even greater accuracy.”

Uzelac, who has been involved with the Cydcor for more than a decade, would know. She remembers when Cydcor handwrote some 250 checks a week and manually stuffed them in envelopes lined up and down the long hallways of the office, instead of using Electronic Funds Transfer.

Cydcor’s proven track record for many for leading brands in the office products, telecommunications and financial services using the most original direct marketing approach, face-to-face sales, has taken on a degree of sophistication. Cydcor’s efficient operations and quality systems enable Cydcor to offer a speed-to-market advantage to its Fortune 500 client base.

Cydcor Supports Former Team Member Through Donation

Oct 8, 2005

Cydcor and its team members recently made a donation to the Andinet International School in Ethiopia, in addition to packing and sending supplies for the school’s children and teachers.

In support a former Cydcor receptionist who moved to Ethiopia in August to teach English and art to impoverished children at Andinet, Cydcor donated $1,000 to the school and Cydcor team members individually contributed nearly $600 in additional funds.

“We look for opportunities to support our team members’ prosperity internally as well as externally while they pursue other goals and passions,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer of Cydcor. “At Cydcor, we try to create a philanthropic environment where our team members can support each other, and we all wanted to help her make a difference.”

Cydcor and its team members were also able to fill four boxes of binders, paper, padfolios, pens and pencils to be personally delivered to the school in Ethiopia. The money will be used to purchase student school and arts supplies, which are often limited or non-existent.

“The Andinet International School expresses heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution and personal delivery from Cydcor,” said Nefertiti Makeda, director of Andinet International School. “Our school is growing and we are always in need of educational materials.”

About Andinet International School

Andinet International School is a world, co-educational institution open to students of all nationalities and religions. Classes are instructed in English, but Amharic, French and Arabic are offered as well. 30 Fastest Growing Companies of the Year 2025 - Featuring Interview With Vera Quinn

Sep 17, 2025

Vera Quinn, Cydcor President and CEO
Vera Quinn, Cydcor President and CEO

Cydcor was founded in 1994 on a simple yet powerful principle: people still want to buy from people they trust. While much of the business world in the 1990s was moving toward automation and call centers, the founders of Cydcor recognized that something essential was being lost. Technology could handle transactions, but it could not replace trust, loyalty, or the personal connection that uniquely comes from a face-to-face conversation. That insight shaped the company’s mission and continues to guide it today. Headquartered in Agoura Hills, California, Cydcor partners with Fortune 500 leaders as well as emerging brands across the U.S. and Canada. The company specializes in outsourced, in-person customer acquisition through a network of independently owned sales companies across North America. These companies operate in the residential, retail, business-to-business, and event services channels, creating flexible and scalable solutions to meet each client’s needs. Some clients rely on Cydcor to complement their existing sales force, while others count on Cydcor’s network as their exclusive customer acquisition channel. In both cases, the goal remains the same: driving measurable growth through meaningful interactions.

What sets Cydcor apart is its ability to combine the timeless art of relationship building with modern systems and accountability. While independent sales companies focus on customer engagement, Cydcor provides the backbone that makes scaling possible. This includes compliance oversight, detailed reporting, operational systems, and performance tracking that give clients confidence in both the process and the results. The approach has earned the trust of top Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 brands that turn to Cydcor when they need more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They need real conversations, genuine connections, and long-term customer relationships.

Under the leadership of Vera Quinn, President and CEO, Cydcor continues to evolve without losing sight of its core belief: that business has always been built on human connection. In a marketplace where digital noise grows louder every day, Cydcor proves that face-to-face sales remain not only relevant but essential. It is a model that honors tradition while embracing innovation, ensuring clients have the reach, structure, and results they need to grow.

In conversation with Vera Quinn, President and CEO of Cydcor

“We see technology as a way to make the in-person experience even better. Our platforms, sales tools, and data systems deliver the information clients need—precisely when they need it."

– Vera Quinn, Cydcor President and CEO

Cydcor has been a trusted partner to Fortune 500 companies for more than three decades. How has your face-to-face approach helped brands stay competitive in today’s automated world?

In today’s automated world, the value of human connection and quality continues to rise because people’s needs are not one-size-fits-all. Brands spend heavily trying to break through the noise, but nothing cuts through like a real conversation. When the field teams engage face-to-face, whether in a business, at a retail store, at someone’s doorstep, or an event, it creates authenticity, accountability, and connection. That personal approach builds trust and loyalty, delivering long-term growth instead of one-off transactions. There is no substitute for the clarity and trust that comes for genuine two-way conversation.

You work across very different verticals—B2B, retail, residential, and event services. How do you customize each campaign?

It starts with listening. We take the time to understand what matters most to the client—what outcomes they want to achieve and who they’re trying to reach. From there, we apply proven strategies while piloting and refining until the approach is right. We don’t believe in copy-and-paste campaigns; every engagement is designed around the client’s goals, with a clear commitment to measurable results.

We’re also highly nimble. Offers, hours, and territory plans can shift quickly, and we adjust with speed, going where customers are and where opportunities exist. For example, in retail environments customers may need product education at the point of sale, while in B2B settings the focus is often on efficiency and ROI. Each campaign is tailored to those realities, ensuring both clients and customers feel understood.

Leading companies often credit Cydcor with helping them expand into new markets. How does your model drive that kind of growth?

We help clients grow because we’re built to scale responsibly. The companies in our network are locally run by entrepreneurs who care deeply about performance and quality. That ownership mindset allows us to move fast when a client wants to expand while still delivering consistency and quality. We’re able to test, adapt, and ramp with speed—without sacrificing the fundamentals. Because we take such pride in the brands we represent, our clients trust us to deliver with consistency and care.

Cydcor works with a network of independently owned sales companies. How does that support innovation and client outcomes?

Entrepreneurs think differently. They’re invested in doing things right because it’s their business. That ownership mindset creates a ripple effect: higher standards, better execution, and more accountability. When a client partners with us, they’re not just accessing sales teams; they’re tapping into a culture of ownership and drive. That translates into stronger performance in the field and sustained results for the brand.

You’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work. How do culture and leadership play into your business success?

Our culture is built on the belief that people succeed when they help others succeed. That philosophy drives how we lead, how we collaborate, and how we show up for our clients and each other. Our values aren’t just words on a wall. They act as our constitution, guiding decisions and holding us accountable. Because of that, leadership at Cydcor isn’t about hierarchy; it’s about creating an environment where people support one another, push for excellence, and celebrate shared wins. That’s why our culture has become a competitive advantage and why clients trust us to represent their brands with pride.

Technology is clearly important to your operations. How do you balance that with the human side of your business?

We see technology as a way to make the in-person experience even better. Our platforms, sales tools, and data systems deliver the information clients need—precisely when they need it. AI is making our systems smarter and faster, improving everything from compliance to reporting to campaign insights. At the end of the day, technology is there to empower people. It supports the work; it doesn’t replace the human connection that makes in-person sales powerful.

What’s next for Cydcor? Any exciting plans on the horizon?

Cydcor is entering an exciting new chapter of growth. We’re expanding into new industries while continuing to strengthen relationships with the Fortune 500 and emerging brands we already serve. A big part of that future is leveraging AI and advanced platforms to enhance both the client and customer experience, delivering faster insights, sharper tools, and more seamless interactions. Driving results through the power of people remains constant, but the ways we deliver on it are evolving quickly. We also see opportunities in industries undergoing disruption, or where customers are clamoring for personalized solutions where face-to-face engagement can help brands establish trust and drive growth. That’s where our model truly shines.

Cydcor celebrates 13 consecutive wins as one of the Los Angeles Business Journal's Best Places to Work, highlighting a culture built on growth, connection, and purpose.

13-Year Streak Highlights Company's People-First Culture and Growth Opportunities

Agoura Hills, California--(Newsfile Corp. - August 11, 2025) - For the 13th time, Cydcor has earned a place on the Los Angeles Business Journal's (LABJ) Best Places to Work in Los Angeles list. This recognition, determined by detailed employee surveys conducted by Workforce Research Group, celebrates Cydcor's enduring commitment to a collaborative, employee-centric workplace culture. As a leader in outsourced sales and customer acquisition services, Cydcor continues to set the bar for what it means to build a workplace where people grow, thrive, and find purpose.

Recognition Driven by Employee Survey and Culture

Hundreds of small, medium, and large companies across LA participated in the 2025 LABJ survey. The process evaluates workplace policies and practices, with 80% of the score drawn from confidential employee feedback. The result: a curated list of LA's top employers, with Cydcor standing out for its consistent leadership, supportive environment, career development focus, and the company's foundation lies in its culture and core values.

A 13-Year Legacy of Workplace Excellence

"We are very intentional about building both a high-performing culture and a high-performing business," said Vera Quinn, CEO of Cydcor. "We want Cydcor to be a place where people are inspired to grow, feel proud of their work, and know they're part of something meaningful."

Cydcor uses the feedback collected through the survey process not only to celebrate what's working but also to highlight areas where the company and departments can improve. This ensures continuous growth, adaptation, and accountability across all levels of the organization. Cydcor fosters a culture where people helping people isn't just a saying, it's the way business is done.

"Consistency matters. Being recognized year after year is a result of our people showing up for one another, staying grounded in our values, and always aiming to get better," Quinn added.

What Makes Cydcor a Top Employer

Cydcor continues to set the standard in creating an environment where employees feel seen, supported, and challenged to achieve their potential.

How does Cydcor continue to earn recognition? Here are just a few reasons:

  • Development: Personalized growth plans, mentorship programs, and leadership opportunities for every level to help team members accelerate their personal and professional journeys.
