Cydcor makes the INC 5000 List for the second time; Outsourced Sales Leader Climbs Nearly 1,400 Spots on Annual Ranking, Earning a Place Among the Nation's Most Successful Independent Businesses
AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Aug. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Outsourced Sales Leader Climbs Nearly 1,400 Spots on Annual Ranking, Earning a Place Among the Nation's Most Successful Independent Businesses.
Cydcor, a leading provider of outsourced sales and customer acquisition solutions, today announced it has been ranked No. 2,158 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list, the annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The list is the most prestigious ranking of the nation's most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses, recognizing companies that have achieved remarkable growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the economy. Past honorees include companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Oracle, and Patagonia.
The ranking reflects a period of double-digit, record-breaking growth for Cydcor, and marks a jump of nearly 1,400 places, 1,383 spots, to be exact, from the company's prior Inc. 5000 ranking. Cydcor also ranked 176 in Advertising, Marketing and PR and 294 in California. "Growth is easy to chase and hard to keep," said Vera Quinn, President & CEO of Cydcor. "This ranking reflects a network that holds the standard on quality and retention year after year — and that's what earns real trust from clients."
This year's Inc. 5000 recognizes a new class of companies redefining what growth looks like. From AI and advanced manufacturing to healthcare, consumer products, and professional services, these businesses are expanding their impact, creating jobs and proving that entrepreneurial ambition continues to fuel the U.S. economy. Among the 5,000 companies on the list, the median three-year revenue growth rate was 130%, and those companies have collectively added more than 627,208 jobs to the U.S. economy over the past three years.
The recognition adds to a series of milestones for Quinn and Cydcor over the past year. Quinn was named the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 Greater Los Angeles Award Winner, earned a 2026 Silver Stevie® Award for Sales Outsourcing Provider of the Year, and has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in Los Angeles 14 times, underscoring the consistency of its performance and culture across its network of independent sales companies.
"Every company on the Inc. 5000 has a story of perseverance, smart decision making, and a refusal to sit still," says Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc. "Their growth reflects more than strong financial performance, it reflects creativity, resilience, and the customer focus required to build companies that make a lasting impact. We congratulate all honorees on this significant achievement."
Inc. 5000 List Methodology
Companies on the 2026 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022. Cydcor was founded in 1994 on a simple yet powerful principle: people still want to buy from people they trust. While much of the business world in the 1990s was moving toward automation and call centers, the founders of Cydcor recognized that something essential was being lost. Technology could handle transactions, but it could not replace trust, loyalty, or the personal connection that uniquely comes from a face-to-face conversation. That insight shaped the company’s mission and continues to guide it today. Headquartered in Agoura Hills, California, Cydcor partners with Fortune 500 leaders as well as emerging brands across the U.S. and Canada. The company specializes in outsourced, in-person customer acquisition through a network of independently owned sales companies across North America. These companies operate in the residential, retail, business-to-business, and event services channels, creating flexible and scalable solutions to meet each client’s needs. Some clients rely on Cydcor to complement their existing sales force, while others count on Cydcor’s network as their exclusive customer acquisition channel. In both cases, the goal remains the same: driving measurable growth through meaningful interactions.
What sets Cydcor apart is its ability to combine the timeless art of relationship building with modern systems and accountability. While independent sales companies focus on customer engagement, Cydcor provides the backbone that makes scaling possible. This includes compliance oversight, detailed reporting, operational systems, and performance tracking that give clients confidence in both the process and the results. The approach has earned the trust of top Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 brands that turn to Cydcor when they need more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They need real conversations, genuine connections, and long-term customer relationships.
Under the leadership of Vera Quinn, President and CEO, Cydcor continues to evolve without losing sight of its core belief: that business has always been built on human connection. In a marketplace where digital noise grows louder every day, Cydcor proves that face-to-face sales remain not only relevant but essential. It is a model that honors tradition while embracing innovation, ensuring clients have the reach, structure, and results they need to grow.
In conversation with Vera Quinn, President and CEO of Cydcor
“We see technology as a way to make the in-person experience even better. Our platforms, sales tools, and data systems deliver the information clients need—precisely when they need it."
– Vera Quinn, Cydcor President and CEO
Cydcor has been a trusted partner to Fortune 500 companies for more than three decades. How has your face-to-face approach helped brands stay competitive in today’s automated world?
In today’s automated world, the value of human connection and quality continues to rise because people’s needs are not one-size-fits-all. Brands spend heavily trying to break through the noise, but nothing cuts through like a real conversation. When the field teams engage face-to-face, whether in a business, at a retail store, at someone’s doorstep, or an event, it creates authenticity, accountability, and connection. That personal approach builds trust and loyalty, delivering long-term growth instead of one-off transactions. There is no substitute for the clarity and trust that comes for genuine two-way conversation.
You work across very different verticals—B2B, retail, residential, and event services. How do you customize each campaign?
It starts with listening. We take the time to understand what matters most to the client—what outcomes they want to achieve and who they’re trying to reach. From there, we apply proven strategies while piloting and refining until the approach is right. We don’t believe in copy-and-paste campaigns; every engagement is designed around the client’s goals, with a clear commitment to measurable results.
We’re also highly nimble. Offers, hours, and territory plans can shift quickly, and we adjust with speed, going where customers are and where opportunities exist. For example, in retail environments customers may need product education at the point of sale, while in B2B settings the focus is often on efficiency and ROI. Each campaign is tailored to those realities, ensuring both clients and customers feel understood.
Leading companies often credit Cydcor with helping them expand into new markets. How does your model drive that kind of growth?
We help clients grow because we’re built to scale responsibly. The companies in our network are locally run by entrepreneurs who care deeply about performance and quality. That ownership mindset allows us to move fast when a client wants to expand while still delivering consistency and quality. We’re able to test, adapt, and ramp with speed—without sacrificing the fundamentals. Because we take such pride in the brands we represent, our clients trust us to deliver with consistency and care.
Cydcor works with a network of independently owned sales companies. How does that support innovation and client outcomes?
Entrepreneurs think differently. They’re invested in doing things right because it’s their business. That ownership mindset creates a ripple effect: higher standards, better execution, and more accountability. When a client partners with us, they’re not just accessing sales teams; they’re tapping into a culture of ownership and drive. That translates into stronger performance in the field and sustained results for the brand.
You’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work. How do culture and leadership play into your business success?
Our culture is built on the belief that people succeed when they help others succeed. That philosophy drives how we lead, how we collaborate, and how we show up for our clients and each other. Our values aren’t just words on a wall. They act as our constitution, guiding decisions and holding us accountable. Because of that, leadership at Cydcor isn’t about hierarchy; it’s about creating an environment where people support one another, push for excellence, and celebrate shared wins. That’s why our culture has become a competitive advantage and why clients trust us to represent their brands with pride.
Technology is clearly important to your operations. How do you balance that with the human side of your business?
We see technology as a way to make the in-person experience even better. Our platforms, sales tools, and data systems deliver the information clients need—precisely when they need it. AI is making our systems smarter and faster, improving everything from compliance to reporting to campaign insights. At the end of the day, technology is there to empower people. It supports the work; it doesn’t replace the human connection that makes in-person sales powerful.
What’s next for Cydcor? Any exciting plans on the horizon?
Cydcor is entering an exciting new chapter of growth. We’re expanding into new industries while continuing to strengthen relationships with the Fortune 500 and emerging brands we already serve. A big part of that future is leveraging AI and advanced platforms to enhance both the client and customer experience, delivering faster insights, sharper tools, and more seamless interactions. Driving results through the power of people remains constant, but the ways we deliver on it are evolving quickly. We also see opportunities in industries undergoing disruption, or where customers are clamoring for personalized solutions where face-to-face engagement can help brands establish trust and drive growth. That’s where our model truly shines.

Agoura Hills, California--(Newsfile Corp. - September 22, 2026) - Cydcor, a leading provider of outsourced sales and customer acquisition solutions, today announced that four of its leaders, spanning IT, marketing, and executive operations, were recognized at the Los Angeles Business Journal's 2026 Valley Women's Leadership Symposium & Awards, held August 20 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California.
The honors reflect a defining trait of Cydcor's culture that opportunity is there for those who want to grow, and these four leaders show what's possible when people take it. The recognition follows a strong year for Cydcor's own leadership, with President and CEO Vera Quinn named an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® honoree, the 2025 CEO of the Year at this same Symposium, and a 2026 LA500 honoree.
Kelli MacIver, Chief of Staff, was named the Mentor of the Year honoree, the category's top award, recognizing leaders who invest in developing others. Three additional Cydcor leaders were recognized:

"We're a high-performing business with standout people, and this year's Valley Women's Leadership Awards are proof of that," said Vera Quinn, President and CEO of Cydcor. "Kelli, Sam, Christine and Sheba each show what that looks like across our business, and it means a lot to see that kind of leadership recognized among so many women making an impact."
Kelli MacIver has spent her career at Cydcor progressing through a series of leadership roles on her way to becoming Chief of Staff. Her approach to mentorship reflects a belief that runs through Cydcor's culture: the business only succeeds when its people do, and helping others grow is part of the job, not separate from it.
"Kelli's strength is developing people - seeing where they can grow and helping them get there. That is exactly what good mentorship looks like," Quinn said. "Kelli, Sam, Christine and Sheba each show the many ways women drive impact at Cydcor, and we're honored by this recognition and what it says about the caliber of our team."
About the Valley Women's Leadership Symposium & Awards
A signature program of the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Valley Women's Leadership Symposium & Awards recognizes women making measurable contributions to business and society across the San Fernando Valley, and empowers women through mentorship, community connections, and career advancement.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., April 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cydcor, the recognized leader of outsourced face-to-face sales, will again host the Day of Smiles fundraising drive benefiting international children's charity Operation Smile, Cydcor president Vera Quinn announced today. This marks the seventh year that Cydcor has partnered with Operation Smile in this corporate philanthropy program to provide life-changing surgeries to children born with facial deformities. Cydcor will kick off the Day of Smiles campaign at its Agoura Hills corporate headquarters May 20. The network of independent sales offices will also participate through May 24.

"By partnering with such an amazing non-profit as Operation Smile, we are able to impact children's lives dramatically through the gift of a smile," said Quinn. "The work we help fund through Operation Smile goes well beyond fixing a cleft lip or palate for these kids – we're funding surgeries that give hope to the families for a better quality of life for their child. Our four days of fundraising helps create a lifetime of smiles."
Cydcor has raised nearly $900,000 in charitable donations for Operation Smile since 2010, and has sponsored five medical missions. Cydcor volunteers returned from the most recent medical mission to Guadalajara, Mexico, in March, where they helped provide assistance and comfort to families while their children received surgeries from the Operation Smile medical team. Cydcor's corporate philanthropy initiatives have previously helped fund medical missions to Brazil, Guatemala, Bolivia and Mexico, with this year's fundraising campaign expected to help sponsor additional medical missions in the coming months.
Cydcor and its network of independent sales offices throughout the US, Canada and the United Kingdom will be hosting a variety of fundraising activities through their annual Day of Smile event taking place May 20-24. Hoping to beat their previous best of $130,000 raised last year, Cydcor's charitable donations could top the $1 million mark of lifetime giving to Operation Smile this year.
"We are a people helping people business, and our annual Day of Smiles event is a perfect example of that commitment," added Quinn. "I'm most proud that this pledge of service to others has become a cornerstone of our company, and those who work with us."

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Aug. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cydcor, the global leader in outsourced sales services, has again been honored as one of the Best Places to Work by the Los Angeles Business Journal. This marks the ninth time Cydcor has been included on the annual list which recognizes and honors the best employers throughout LA, benefiting the county's economy, workforce and businesses. The awards luncheon was held at the Omni Hotel in Los Angeles on August 15.

"Cydcor's recognition as one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles – the nation's second largest city – is a point of great pride for everyone at Cydcor," said Chairman and CEO Gary Polson. "Our company succeeds when our team members feel valued and empowered working here. Making Cydcor a great place to work takes constant effort, and we're committed to this effort."
Hundreds of companies from across Los Angeles county participated in a two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. First, each company was evaluated on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part was an employee survey to measure the employee experience and was worth 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings for the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Cydcor President Vera Quinn added: "Cydcor's has experienced tremendous growth year-over-year, and we accomplish this is by ensuring Cydcor is a high-performance, sought after employer. This award is an impressive tribute to our company culture, benefits, and most importantly the people who work here. Our team members are what makes our company so unique and successful."
"Our people are our most valuable asset and without them, none of this would be possible. We are all very proud of our company and culture – this recognition is evidence Cydcor is truly a great place to work," Chief Administrative Officer Jeannie Finkel concluded.

As the CEO of Cydcor, Vera Quinn leads an organization dedicated to delivering outsourced sales solutions for emerging and Fortune 500 companies. With over two decades of experience in leadership and business development, she focuses on building scalable, people-centric systems that empower teams to achieve exceptional results. She is passionate about fostering leadership at every level and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Vera Quinn: Cydcor is a leader in outsourced sales, helping emerging and Fortune 500 companies achieve impressive growth through high-performance sales teams. What makes us different is our relationship with independent sales companies. These sales companies are owned by entrepreneurial individuals who can grow into business leaders through the opportunities Cydcor provides. I’m really passionate about leadership development and organizational growth, and I enjoy working closely with people to help them unlock their full potential. With 30 years of experience, we’ve built a solid track record of acquiring quality customers for our clients. They count on us to quickly grow their market share, and in some cases, our results even outperform their internal sales teams.
Vera Quinn: One significant challenge we faced during the pandemic was the sudden shift from face-to-face customer acquisition to a predominantly virtual environment. Like many businesses, it felt uncertain about how we would sustain operations in such an unprecedented situation. However, we quickly realized we needed to adapt by embracing virtual communication and developing remote strategies to keep our team engaged and productive.
Our existing entrepreneurial culture was a tremendous asset during this time. It enabled us to pivot swiftly and reallocate our people and their skills to meet new demands. For example, our marketing team stepped up to lead initiatives around acquiring PPE, while our support and legal teams focused on understanding and implementing CDC guidelines, and a cross-functional team of people across the business raised their hands to help wherever needed – including directing people to government resources.
This proactive approach reassured both our network and clients. We also used this time for a massive focus on personal development to help us grow instead of slow. Through this experience, I was reminded of the critical importance of adaptability in effective leadership. My commitment to a people-first approach helped us navigate immediate challenges and ultimately strengthened our team’s resilience. We emerged from the pandemic even stronger, equipped with new strategies and a deeper sense of unity.
Vera Quinn: I think the concept of failure is really interesting. To me, failure doesn’t resonate as a concept. We’re not born with the skills we need to succeed as adults. We grow into them. My leadership journey has been about learning and growing—often through making mistakes.
Early on, I struggled with delegation. I used to think, I’m an individual performer, so how can I trust others to take on tasks? It was tough, and I wasn’t great at it initially. But over time, I realized that empowering my team and trusting them was essential to being a good leader.
Now, I know how to delegate, have tough conversations, and coach people effectively. As I often remind myself, I’m not going to get good at something without doing it poorly first. That mindset has shaped me into the leader I am today, and I encourage others to embrace their learning process too.
I prefer to view failure as an opportunity for growth. We develop through experience and commitment, gaining the skills we need for our roles over time. I remember feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to delegate effectively or provide proper support to my team.
Through reflection and a commitment to personal growth, I shifted my focus to nurturing leaders at all levels within the organization. I prioritize building strong relationships, offering constructive feedback, and providing support, which has led to greater success for everyone involved. I genuinely believe that every misstep along the way has shaped me into the leader I am today, reinforcing the notion that true growth comes from learning through challenges, not from avoiding them.
Vera Quinn: Building resilience starts with finding people who embrace challenges, focus on solutions, and enjoy collaborating. Challenges are inevitable, so I look for those who see them as opportunities. If someone needs everything to go perfectly from the start, or feels they have to know all the answers, they may struggle to remain resilient.
Optimism also plays a big role. If you’re surrounded by a group of smart people, you’ll figure out the answer together. That belief fosters confidence and resilience in a team. Diversity of thought is another pillar of resilience. As I’ve shared before, I don’t want everyone on my team to think like me—I need people with different strengths and perspectives. It’s about creating an environment where people feel supported, can take risks, and learn from their experiences. In my view, resilience isn’t just built by solving problems; it’s built by growing stronger after each challenge.
I prioritize qualities like adaptability, optimism, and a willingness to learn. Instead, I want team members who recognize that business is dynamic and constantly changing, understanding that each challenge is a chance to learn and grow.
I also place a strong emphasis on diversity in thought and experience. I want individuals with different strengths and perspectives contributing to our problem-solving efforts. The more varied our approaches, the better our chances of finding effective solutions. I create opportunities for my team to tackle challenges collaboratively, fostering a culture of support and teamwork.
Vera Quinn: Maintaining my personal resilience during tough times revolves around keeping a big- perspective and focusing on my long-term goals. Nothing is permanent—this applies to both challenges and successes. When I encounter difficulties, I step back and reflect on the purpose behind my work and the relationships I value.
Self-care is crucial for my resilience, especially when leading through a crisis. I prioritize getting enough sleep, staying vigilant about eating well, exercising, and making time for quiet reflection. These practices are vital to maintaining mental and physical health, yet they are often the first things leaders forgo during challenging times. I’ve learned that investing in my well-being is more important than ever when others are relying on my clarity, energy, and ability to make sound decisions.
I also recognize the importance of nurturing my support network. I consciously communicate openly with my loved ones about what I’m experiencing. I’ve found that being vulnerable and letting others in not only strengthens those relationships but also invites understanding and support during tough times. It’s a reminder that I’m not alone in my struggles and that people genuinely want to help.
Ultimately, maintaining a routine that includes activities that uplift me and keep me grounded, especially when things get tough. By leaning into my self-care habits and staying connected with my support system, I can navigate challenges with greater resilience and emerge even stronger.
Vera Quinn: During a crisis, I’ve learned that it’s crucial to maintain a long-term perspective. In the midst of challenges, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the immediate circumstances, but nothing is permanent, whether it’s a difficult business moment or a personal struggle. Keeping this in mind helps me stay grounded. I always remind myself to refocus on the larger purpose behind my work, remembering the bigger goals and the positive impact I’m striving to make.
In addition to focusing on maintaining my mental and physical health. I find that journaling, in particular, is extremely valuable when things feel particularly intense. Writing down my thoughts and emotions allows me to process what’s going on, helping me achieve clarity and release any built-up tension. It’s in these quiet moments that I often gain fresh insights into challenges, giving me a clearer mind to tackle them.
Staying focused during a crisis also involves being intentional about how I spend my time. It’s easy to be distracted by urgent matters, but I make sure I allocate time for thinking, planning, and supporting my team. By sticking to my priorities and maintaining my routines, I can manage stress effectively and remain focused on what truly matters.
Vera Quinn: During times of crisis, clear and transparent communication is one of the most important aspects of leadership. I make it a priority to keep my team informed regularly. When faced with uncertainty, people want to know what’s going on and how they can contribute, and I make sure they are equipped with the information they need. This transparency helps build trust, ensuring that everyone feels aligned, supported, and part of the solution. In addition to keeping the team informed, I also make sure to be available for one-on-one conversations. Not everyone feels comfortable speaking up in group settings, so I create space for more personal communication, where individuals can share concerns or ask questions. This open dialogue is crucial because it helps to surface potential issues early on and gives team members the confidence to voice their thoughts.
It’s especially important to encourage a culture of mutual support during these times. I want to ensure that team members feel comfortable communicating not just with me but with each other as well. In a crisis, collaboration becomes even more critical, so I foster an environment where feedback is given and received openly, and where people can work together creatively to solve problems.
Through all of this, I aim to convey a sense of calm and focus. As a leader, my demeanor can set the tone for the team, so I make an intentional effort to stay grounded and composed, even when things feel chaotic. This helps my team stay focused and believe in our collective ability to overcome whatever comes our way.
Vera Quinn: Building resilience within an organization starts with creating a culture where adaptability is valued. Businesses are constantly facing new challenges and changing circumstances, so it’s vital to foster a mindset where employees view change not as a threat but as an opportunity for growth. Encourage your team to embrace challenges and use them as steppingstones to improve, develop, and innovate. When leaders model resilience, it encourages employees to do the same.
Investing in leadership development is another key component. Strong leaders are the foundation of resilient teams. I focus on helping my team members develop not only their technical skills but also their emotional intelligence and decision-making capabilities. Leaders need to be able to remain calm under pressure, make clear decisions, and guide their teams through turbulent times. The best way to ensure this is to create opportunities for growth and to provide mentorship.
In times of crisis, building trust is essential. Leaders should invest in their teams before a crisis happens, making sure that relationships are strong and that communication flows smoothly. Crises are high-pressure situations where people are often stressed and emotions can run high, so it’s critical that team members trust each other and are willing to collaborate even when there are disagreements.
Lastly, I believe that it’s important to not just prepare for crises but to make it a practice to reflect on them afterward. After the storm has passed, take the time to assess what went well, what didn’t, and what could have been done differently. Use this feedback to adjust your strategies and improve. Continuous learning is a key aspect of building long-term resilience.
Vera Quinn: Preparing for future crises involves a combination of strategic planning, risk management, and cultivating a resilient mindset throughout the entire organization. One of the first steps I take is to ensure that we have strong, adaptable systems in place. We regularly assess potential risks—whether they are market shifts, supply chain disruptions, or unexpected events like the pandemic—and develop contingency plans for different scenarios. This proactive approach ensures we are ready to respond effectively when unforeseen challenges arise.
However, it’s not just about creating operational strategies. I place a heavy emphasis on fostering a culture of resilience within my team. It’s not enough to just have the systems in place; people need to be mentally and emotionally prepared to handle the unexpected. This is why leadership development is such an important part of our preparation. By empowering leaders at all levels, I ensure that decision-making is distributed and that we have strong problem solvers ready to step up and take action when necessary.
In addition, I make it a regular practice to celebrate what went well in the past and reflect on what could have been handled better. After each crisis, we conduct “retrospectives,” where we analyze how we performed and identify opportunities for improvement. This reflection is critical for avoiding the repetition of past mistakes and for refining our approach to future challenges. By using these experiences as learning opportunities, we continuously evolve and prepare ourselves to face whatever comes next.
Vera Quinn: The most important lesson I’ve learned about leadership during a crisis is that it’s about staying grounded and maintaining a clear focus, even when everything around you feels chaotic. It’s not about having all the answers right away, but rather about ensuring your team feels supported, aligned, and equipped to navigate the uncertainty. Leadership in crisis requires adaptability, transparency, and empathy. I’ve learned that, in times of uncertainty, your team looks to you for reassurance. If I remain calm and composed, I help my team stay focused and confident. It’s also crucial to lead with empathy. Acknowledge the stress and emotional toll that crises can have on people and make sure you are available to listen, provide support, and help them through the tough times.
A great leader doesn’t just steer the ship in calm waters; they guide the team through the storms, ensuring that everyone feels valued and capable of handling what comes next. I’ve learned that how you care for your people during a crisis is just as important as how you manage the crisis itself. True leadership shows up when things are difficult—not just in terms of business direction but in supporting the people who make the organization run.

Creating a positive work environment fosters employee well-being, productivity, and growth. If companies intend to turn their workplace into a great workplace, they need to give attention, care, and a purpose. When a team is refreshed, empowered, and well supported by their company, the impact is felt by customers, the community, and the industry. And it is no surprise that Cydcor—a leading outsourced sales company headquartered in Agoura Hills, California—gained recognition for its work environment and business results.
The Los Angeles Business Journal has honored Cydcor by ranking it as one of the Best Places To Work 2023. But Cydcor is no stranger to this award: the Journal has now recognized it a monumental eleven times.
Vera Quinn, CEO & President of Cydcor, believes that a company's culture and growth do not come from one singular person. It comes from a team. She has assembled an incredible Leadership Team that has been instrumental in Cydcor's growth. The Cydcor Leadership Team focuses on innovation, and they have a yearly structure and cadence for their strategy planning. This has enabled the company to diversify its client portfolio and expand into different sales channels. Vera and the Leadership Team have created a culture built on integrity and collaboration, which has helped Cydcor land on Los Angeles Business Journal's Best Places to Work 11 times.
The development of the employees is one of Cydcor's behaviors. They value it, and Vera understands the importance of investing in talent development. The management team has all learned Cydcor's "PDP" process, where every team member at Cydcor has a personal development plan that focuses on their values, vision, goals, and opportunities for growth. Cydcor has a "promote from within philosophy." "We want people from within our business to be the people that take on the big challenges and build the company," explains Vera. "Most of the Leadership Team, including me, started with Cydcor in entry-level or early management roles and have experienced different roles and departments throughout their careers here." Hence, Vera encourages individuals to take ownership of their roles, fostering a sense of purpose and driving long-term growth within the organization.
Vera sets the example here. She is the most prominent student in the entire company. She reads a new book every week. And she brings others along with her, recently taking an Executive Education class from Northwestern on AI Applications for Growth along with members from Cydcor's IT Team.
The pioneering leader started with Cydcor when she was 20. Vera began her journey with one of the independently owned sales offices as a recruiter, then started her business as a hub manager, then moved to Cydcor 25 years ago. She began at Cydcor making payments and has done almost every job here before eventually moving into the CEO role in 2020. While the timeline may vary for each individual, Vera believes in staying true to one's vision, maintaining a growth mindset, and embracing failures as opportunities are vital for growth.
By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, data-driven insights, and a highly skilled network of sales offices, Cydcor delivers unparalleled value to clients while providing opportunities to individuals who choose to work in one of its independently owned sales offices. One of Cydcor's most significant achievements is its consistent delivery of measurable results for its clients while maintaining a strong focus on integrity. "All of our clients want more customers, and we pride ourselves on taking the time to explain the product or service and bringing our clients customers who stay. We are proud to have earned DirecTV's prestigious Dealer of the Year award 7 years in a row," adds Vera proudly.
Looking ahead, both Vera and Cydcor are poised for continued growth and success. They are committed to staying ahead of the technology curve and leveraging innovation to drive efficiency in their sales process. From expanding into new verticals to embracing emerging trends, the company remains focused on delivering exceptional value to the clients while empowering the team members to thrive in an ever-changing landscape.
For Vera personally, she believes she is a custodian of the business, and her responsibility is to make the industry better before handing the responsibility off to the next CEO. She is also working towards her philanthropic responsibilities, and the entire company takes a day to volunteer at a local non-profit twice a year. YPO is an organization Vera joined 8 years ago, and it has transformed the way she does business. Her forum is essential to who she is and where she is professionally and personally. In 2015, Vera visited Liberty Children's Home in Belize, and it changed her life. She continued to visit and give her time, and eventually, she took on the financial responsibility for Liberty. Liberty is an organization that Vera personally supports, and Cydcor supports as well. "Our network of independently owned sales offices have rallied around Liberty and continues to raise money and visit multiple times a year. Our goal is 4-5 trips/year where we bring people at Cydcor or field leadership to do projects and spend time with the kids," concludes Vera.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Dec. 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Vera Quinn has been named Cydcor's Chief Executive Officer, the company announced earlier this week, adding CEO to Quinn's title of President.
"To realize our vision of Cydcor as the global leader in outsourced sales and creating opportunity for generations, we need to ensure we have the best, most capable and proven leadership," said Gary Polson, Cydcor's outgoing CEO and newly titled Executive Chairman. "Vera has earned the title of CEO, which she's been doing informally for years, and formally since the beginning of 2020. Vera truly embodies the power of Cydcor's opportunity-based business we are committed to creating."
Starting as a door-to-door sales representative more than 20 years ago, Quinn pursued her goal of becoming CEO with her hallmarks of passion, tenacity, and having a student mentality. She has held positions across multiple disciplines at Cydcor, each tapping into her strong leadership skills, business acumen, drive for growth, and commitment to results. Quinn was named Cydcor's Vice President of Operations in 2005, Senior Vice President of Sales Operations in 2008, Chief Operating Officer in 2011, and President in 2015.
Quinn's leadership role at Cydcor has included several game-changing initiatives for the company:
"These vital initiatives propelled the business forward at a rate and in ways not seen before in our 26-year history," said Polson. "This was all achieved under her leadership. I am confident that as CEO, she will continue to create even more successful initiatives in the future to grow our business."
As Executive Chairman, Polson's focus will be prioritizing Cydcor's long term planning, overall health of the business, as well as the culture and development of people in the organization.
"As CEO and President, I remain committed to the two tenants of our business – first, wowing our clients by consistently coming through for them, and second, creating opportunity for the people in our business so they can achieve their professional goals," said Quinn. "There is nothing more important than delivering for our people and our clients," Quinn emphasized. "This is what has fueled our success in the past, just as it will in the future."
Quinn studied political science and history at the University of Toronto. In addition to her role as Cydcor's CEO and President, Quinn is the Executive Director of Liberty Children's Home in Belize. She is active in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) serving as Vice Membership Officer since 2018.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Jan. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cydcor, the recognized leader of outsourced face-to-face sales, has promoted Brooke Levy to senior vice president and general manager for its business-to-business clients, President Vera Quinn announced today.
Levy will lead Cydcor's B2B efforts including managing client relationships, driving results at the campaign management level, as well as exploring new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.

"Brooke has been a major force in growing our expansion businesses, and we're very fortunate that she'll be applying her expertise to continue the growth of these programs and our B2B presence overall," said Quinn. "Her stellar performance underscores our confidence that her work ethic, relentless pursuit of excellence, and ability to execute will absolutely take Cydcor's B2B programs to the next level."
In 2015, Levy was named Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives, and became part of Cydcor's executive team. Along with identifying new mid-market sales opportunities, Levy was responsible for building and analyzing business models and matching the right clients to those successful models, ensuring long term growth. She played a key part in designing the business and legal framework for both of Cydcor's proprietary residential energy businesses, eventually taking over campaign management leadership for one of them. During the past 18 months, Levy drove 318% revenue growth for that program alone.
Levy originally joined Cydcor in 2013 as U.S. General Counsel following a successful 10-year stint as a corporate lawyer with specialties in mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity. She holds her Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law, and earned her undergraduate degree from University of Texas, Austin.
Gary Polson, Cydcor Chairman and CEO added, "Brooke has shown on major endeavors that she can go improve a campaign for dramatic results. Vera and I are confident that she will do this for the B2B campaigns for the benefit of our clients, our network of independent sales offices and Cydcor."
